"A MAZE. celebrates the rise of the indie games in Germany and Global. Worldwide independent games are undergoing a big hype. We don't care about the hype, we believe in artistic freedom, independent production and independent market - that means a lot of fun for us in the future, because we are just at the starting point", so Festival Director Thorsten S. Wiedemann.

The following games will complete the competition:

O.R.pheus
by Evelyn Hribersek (DE)
O.R.pheus questions the human aspiration to overcome boundaries and death. The potential of video games, theatre & films via augmented reality is combined to a new art form: In an underground hospital, single players can create an individual experience and bring rooms, pictures & figures to life.

Spaceteam
by Henry Smith (CA)
Spaceteam is a cooperative party game for 2 to 4 players who shout technobabble at each other until their ship explodes. Each player needs an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Sneaksneak
by Frambosa (NL)
Sneaksneak is a cooperative sneaking game for two players focused on teamwork, timing and stealth. The game challenges players to truly work together which in turn triggers communication about the game. We pride ourselves on being able to create this playful communication while playing with Sneaksneak.

The Gaudy Woods
by Rice 'n' Potato (DE)
Description Take a walk through a wonderous landscape with special residents who communicate in their very own way. Their peculiar characters will join you on the trip through a slightly different nature. Explore a world between dream and warped reality with puffing mushrooms, drowsy tendrils, hypnotising mimosas and other odd creatures.

Haunt the House: Terrortown
by SFB Games (UK)
...What was that sound? Is somebody there? Leave the dusty halls of an abandoned clock tower to haunt your way through a town in the dead of night! Possess objects with your ghostly soul, to scare people away from a museum, a hospital, a theatre and a cruise ship. Will you be able to scare everyone out and reclaim what has been lost, before the night is over? A side-scrolling action puzzle game starring ghosts!

Dear Esther
by The Chinese Room (UK)
Dear Esther is a pure-story game that immerses you in a stunningly realised world, a remote and desolate island somewhere in the outer Hebrides. As you step forwards, a voice begins to read fragments of a letter: "Dear Esther..." - and so begins a journey through one of the most original first-person games of recent years. Abandoning traditional gameplay for a pure story-driven experience, Dear Esther fuses its beautiful environments with a breathtaking soundtrack to tell a powerful story of love, loss, guilt and redemption.

ERVAX for 2
by Monrad & Nielsen (DK)
An interactive art piece, ERVAX is both a game and a compositional too. Even though it looks and plays like an arcade game, the point is that the players are creating music. Sort of a Guitar Hero in reverse, where the music does not dictate the gameplay, but is instead generated by playing the game.

Reus
Abbey Games (NL)
In Reus you take control of nature through the hands of mighty giants. You possess powers like terraforming, life creation, and genetic manipulation. Mankind escapes this control. You can shape their world, but not their will. Your responsibility is to maintain a balance between nature and mankind.

Of Light & Shadow
by 12 Angry Devs (AT)
In ”Of Light and Shadow”, two characters' abilities need to be combined to succeed - one of them can only survive in light while the other can only exist in the shadows; help them settle their differences in this helter-skelter puzzle-platforming game!

The Bridge
by Ty Taylor/ Mario Castaneda (US)
Description The Bridge is a 2D logic puzzle game that forces the player to reevaluate their preconceptions of physics and perspective. It is Isaac Newton meets M. C. Escher. Manipulate gravity to redefine the ceiling as the floor while venturing through impossible architectures.

Panoramical
by Fernando Ramallo & David Kanaga (MX)
Description Panoramical is an interactive musical landscape controlled with a repurposed DJ device. Players alter the scene with sliders and knobs, gradually changing the world's shapes and sounds. Every combination produce a different environment and musical soundscape that is generated on the fly. It is an exploration digital toy where players can explore, fiddle and immerse themselves in the changing environments.
