As a part of the circuit bending genre, the entertainment duo "Der Viereckige Hai" (The square shaped shark) produces unique sounds, melodies and tracks with electronic children's toys by brazing low-voltage devices. The razzle dazzle and the joker, the boom and the clap. During their performances they are dressed up in pink rugby helmets, diving gear, plastic bags or pretty much anything shiny and sparkling. Intentionally or not, "Der Viereckige Hai" creates moments in which the audience could find an unexpected sense of sophistication within this trashy experiment. Satire? We don't even know for certain ourselves. One thing is for sure, it's always a whole lot of fun.
