LIGATO - A real Cold War Strategy Game

The strategy game LIGATO was invented in the GDR almost 30 years ago but only now is it going public. This agonal board game (with a distant resemblance to backgammon or reversi) offers not only numerous mini-challenges, three difficulty levels, and an optional multiplayer-function, it provides detailed statistics and an epic soundtrack to boot! All of this engaging activity is embedded in a creatively-effected morbid Cold War scene. But the game is more than riveting in and of itself: LIGATO encourages an appreciation for history. As players progress through the game, they uncover the true story behind LIGATO - told in delightful illustrations using original historical documents.
