The Shoebox Diorama presents two dioramas for the Oculus Rift. A diorama can best be described as a virtual short story. A distilled moment in time and space in which the visitor is challenged to piece together his own narrative and experience the extraordinary. The Shoebox Diorama is an ongoing project by Daniel Ernst and will grow throughout the years.
The first diorama is Blocked In. A diorama that will have you visit an apartment building room in Russia and enjoy the end of the world brought upon by flocks of Tetris blocks.
Der Grosse Gottlieb is a diorama that will have it premiere at the A-MAZE festival. The visitor will visit the world of Der Grosse Gottlieb, a romantic acrobat from the golden years of the circus. The visitor will have a breathtaking scenic view of the world from the top of a mountain of chairs."
