Games can tell stories, but in most cases the story isn't more than just an illustration of gameplay. Often they are non-interactive and take place in self-playing scenes outside of the actual game. Jan Müller-Michaelis tries to show the unused potential for interactive storytelling and how games can turn into the storytelling medium of the future if you decide to tell truly interactive stories instead of solely using narrative elements to pretty up game-concepts with additional drama.
